Team Vosbergen & DDR Nationals Wrap Up TVR & Doug Drown teamed up last weekend in Perth, Australia for the running of the 8th Australian Dirt Late Model Nationals. Night one for TVR went to plan for Big Bad Bert finishing in the top 10 in points after the first round of heats. Night 1 for Craig Vosbergen had problems from the get go suffering in time trials outside the top 20, Craig had suspension problems causing his #8 Rocket extensive pushing during the time trials & a few problems also during the heat races. The highlight of his night was his heat 2 effort when while in 2nd position he spun in a rut & was forced to the rear of field for causing the restart, what followed were some of the quickest laps of the weekend when he stormed his way back into second spot. Doug Drown on the other hand had all the cards fall into place, top qualifying & winning all his heats in strong style, Doug Drown was set for nigh two of the ADLMN. Night 2 for Craig Vosbergen was simple, place as high as possible in the heats to ensure a start in the main show, he finished a strong 3rd getting him into the main event out of 19th position, with 4 laps to go Craig was looking at a podium finish until a visiting driver decided on a slide job he couldn’t complete placing the #8 machine head on into the wall finishing his nationals race. For Bert his race lasted only 4 laps after getting the wrong end of a late model sandwich, Bert suffered body & suspension damage also ending his national’s race. For Doug Drown he started out of 3rd position & for much of the race stayed there until deciding on having a go at second spot , grabbing the windrow, and finishing up in the main straight wall, for Doug it was a bitter end to a great race where as the green flag runs got longer the better the Doug Drown machine was. Doug, Craig & Bert head to Narrogin Speedway this weekend for the Thunderhill 30, one of the blue ribbon events on the Pro Dirt Series calendar.
