Team Vosbergen, Tough night at the office

Team Vosbergen racers Bert and Craig Vosbergen gave it their all over the two night extravaganza at the Perth Motorplex over the World Series Sprintcars weekend.

Unfortunately they couldn’t get the results that this professional team expects.

It was an up and down weekend, especially for Veteran driver Bert, who was either fast or on the infield during the weekend. A couple of costly DNF’s put paid to his overall points tally for the weekend, but a stewarding decision on night two that sent him to the rear of the field during the first event of the night, wasn’t the start he needed to try and improve his points position.

One good aspect to all this is that he has been able to secure enough points to hold on to his eight place standing in the Kwinana season points.

His only highlight was a second place finish on night one for his Worldwide Construction Machinery/Royal Wolfe Containers #4 Rocket.

Craig Vosbergen had a better weekend, only due to his ability to finish races. Being the competitive driver that he is, Craig would have been disappointed with his results as he to only could manage a second place finish during the six races over two nights. Top ten places for the rest of the weekend secured valuable points.

In saying that, he was able to bring home his Worldwide Construction Machinery/Racin Tyres & Accessories #8 Rocket home in fourth in points. That hasn’t hurt his season tally at all, and actually gaining some positions, moving from fifth to third in the overall tally for the track championship.

It will be a two week break before we see TVR hit the track again, when both the teams’ drivers hit the super fast Manjimup Speedway for the running of this years Firecracker 50, always a challenging event on LMRA Pro Dirt Series schedule.
