Bert Vosbergen

  • Family – Wife Judy, Son Craig , Daughter Kim
  • Bert is the were TVR – Team Vosbergen Racing all began starting off Drag Racing in the 70s and eventually moving into Dirt track racing in late 70s.
  • The “Flying Dutchman” as he was known in the beginning of his career raced his award winning FJ Holden Sedan and Dragster at Ravenswood Dragway.
  • In 1979 , Bert was the first person in West Australia to break the 150mph Barrier in his famed Dragster “ The Flying Dutchman” Inducted into the Drag Racing Hall Of Fame
  • Bert then moved to the Dirt Track urged on by some of his good friends and was an innovator in the 80’s , introducing racing rubber and eventually quick change Diffs.
  • As the race cars evolved so did Bert, grasping new technology which then had him pointy end of the field, his determination, never give up attitude
    • And aggressive driving nature had the commentators calling him “ Big Bad Bert” which to this day is a household name for many Speedway fans and families.
    • Bert started in Sedans which evolved into Grand National Sedans, then Super Sedans and lastly Late Model Sedan where he competed in both Super Sedan and Late Model Classes for several years.
  • Bert’s achievements were incredible over such a long period of time, still winning races at 70 years old before he was forced to retire due to illness.
    • 55 x Claremont Speedway Feature Wins
    • 9 x State Championships in Western Australia and South Australia in both Super Sedans and Late Models
    • South Australian Fireball 50 Grand National Champion
    • Claremont Speedway - Winfield Driver of The Year
    • Inducted in the Speedway Australia Hall of Fame and Speedway Sedan WA Hall of Fame

Craig Vosbergen

  • DOB – 8/3/1967
  • Family – Wife Nicola, Son Brent, Daughter Brooke
  • Started racing in Junior Sedans in a Mini at 10 years of age.
  • At age 17 switched to the prestigious Grand National division.
  • Two years later moved into Super Sedans and competed in this class until 2001 (Age 33).
  • During period racing Super Sedans won the Claremont Speedway 'Winfield Driver Of The Year” and the overall Season points awards twice (1991 and 1993).
  • West Australian Super Sedan Champion 2001 and then moved to the Late Model division in 2001/2002
  • 3 x Late Model State Championships (2 x West Aust & 1 x South Aust)
  • 2 x Motorplex Track Championships
  • 3 x Pro Dirt Series Championships
  • 2017 Motorplex Driver of the Year
  • 2 x Mildura Easter $10K Winner
  • USA Southern Nationals Feature winner – Crossville TN

Brent Vosbergen

  • DOB – 18/4/1991
  • Family – Wife Tina, Daughter Hallie, Son Harlen
  • Starting racing Dirt Circuit Go-Karts as a 16 year old and won several major events over next 4 years.
  • Brent was his Father Craig’s Crew Chief for many seasons including all of his visits to USA.
  • At age 21 started to Race Dirt Late Models on a limited basis in the winter months.
  • He soon won several Development Series and Fast Friday events whilst still crewing for his Dad.
  • Eventually his was given the opportunity to run the Pro Dirt Series in 2018 on a limited basis
  • Since then Brent has cemented himself as one of the leading Late model drivers in the country winning:
    • 1 x Late Model Australia Championship
    • 2 x Western Australian State Championships
    • 2 x Pro Dirt Series Season Champion
    • 2021 Perth Motorplex Driver of the Year
    • Several Late model Feature Wins and still racking them up
